I’ve created a new favorite project with this one. It started as a way to display a classic page of handwritten text in the form of a manuscript, but it’s become a lot more elegant.
This PSD file is built in Photoshop CS4 version 11.00 and includes images for the heavy paper, the polaroid, the paperclip and several shadow images.
The text on the paper is a font named Galeforce BTN in a 72 point size. Each page has it’s own text box defined and each section of text has several blending options and opacities applied to give the finished look of handwritten text on paper in a 3D space.
The paper has several ink stains from a brush file from FreeDesignFile.com called Solid Ink Splatter.
The polaroid was pulled from the internet but importantly the image can be customized with one of your own and a sepia filter applied to give it the aged look.
The paperclip was rendered in 3DStudio Max and is in two parts to give it the appearance of starting on top of the document and going behind the paper.
